Terms
How booking with us works, in plain language. Effective 2026-09-21.
Your booking is with us
When you book, your agreement is with Hearthly Maids. We quote the job, schedule it, send the cleaner, and handle payment and any follow-up. The cleaner who arrives is an independent contractor working with us; they bring their own supplies and equipment. If you have any question about the job before, during or after, contact us — not the cleaner.
Quotes and what's included
Every job is quoted in writing before we book it, based on the bedrooms, bathrooms, rough size and type of clean you tell us about. The quote lists what's included. It doesn't change on the day unless you add something, or the home is materially different from what was described — in which case we'll tell you before doing any extra work, and you decide.
Payment
You pay after the clean, the same day, by Interac e-Transfer or card. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude HST where it applies. Payment goes to Hearthly Maids, never to the cleaner directly.
Cancelling or rescheduling
Free up to 24 hours before the booked time — just message or call. Inside 24 hours, or if we arrive and can't get in, we may charge a $50 fee, because the cleaner has set the time aside. If we have to cancel, we'll tell you as soon as we know and offer the next available slot.
If something isn't right
Tell us within 24 hours of the clean and we'll come back and fix it at no charge. If something is damaged during a clean, tell us right away with a photo; we'll sort it out with you directly.
Access and safety
Please make sure we can get in at the booked time and that valuables, fragile items and pets are secured. Our cleaners won't move heavy furniture or appliances, clean exterior windows above ground level, or handle biohazards.
Recurring plans
Weekly, biweekly and monthly plans have no contract. Pause, skip or cancel any time with a message; the 24-hour notice above applies to each visit.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Questions: use thequote form. Our privacy notice explains what we do with your details.
